project::shirt refashion

Here is my second refashion inspired by project restyle...it is a clearance Gap shirt that I restyled by adding a pretty doily neckline. know, I know, I think we are supposed to use things that we already owned but this was tee was very cheap, and really kind of needed a restyle and I already had the doilies so I think it counts!

I basically just laid two grey doilies onto the neckline, cut them out so they fit and machine sewed them on...very easy! I like that it has gone from a wardrobe basic to something a little fancier and I have even washed the top and it still looks good, so I am super happy with that!

I am also happy that I am off to take part in a serger class this morning! I have had my nanna's on an indefinite loan for a long time now and have been meaning to go for a while and never got around to it. So that is my plan for this AM...do you have any special plans for this pre-Valentines weekend? h&k, Mandi

  1. So cute, looks great alone or would be amazing under a blazer or fun cardigan. What a great idea! Oh and what is a serger class? Exercise?
