house 4 sale

I mentioned here recently that some big decisions were being made around here and I can finally say that we have listed our house and a move will be coming up for our little family! Wow, I definitely forgot how much work it is to get a house ready to sell though and it will probably be an even bigger task to keep it clean and ready for showings but we are excited for the change and thoughts of a new home and maybe location!

(house hunting, Clark just woke up)

We have been having lots of fun looking at different houses
online and in person and thinking about what will best suit all of us when it comes to jobs, schooling options, etc... Jason wants to build new and I would like to have an older home with character and we are still pretty torn between city and country so we shall see where we end up. Now we just need to get our house sold! h&k, Mandi

  2. Good luck with selling your house. I hear it is a buyers market right now though. Hopefully you will sell quick and find the perfect place for your family :)

  3. Good luck with the sale! We built our house new and really enjoyed the process. Depending on the builder you choose, you could add your own "character" by selecting the floors, baseboards/trim, doors, windows, kitchen, etc, that you want! Also by building new you can be sure there isn't mould or critters hiding in the walls ;)...

  5. Nathalie, I totally agree that there are options for adding character to a new home and we actually have an apt with a builder this weekend to take a look at what some of our options might be in the area. I really like the idea of having a house that you know everything is new and in good shape and you eliminate the "what-ifs" that you get with an older home but I still just love original hardwood and older neighbourhoods :)
